I haven't posted much in the last few months. Without the weekly stream on promos, sneak peeks, and gallery postings, you may have wondered if I'm still working. The answer is a resounding YES.
This week I was honored to be a guest on The Peace Brain Show with Dr. Gail Lash. The interview will air Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 8pm. You can listen by clicking here. We talked about MARGINS, the personal project I've been working on, equality and change.
WHAT IT IS
MARGINS is a portrait series that focuses on marginalized groups within our society.
THE IDEA BEHIND IT
Connection is a basic human need - that's why connection is so natural, so effortless. Simply by making eye contact, we form connections. It is impossible to look someone in the eye and deny his or her humanity. On the other hand, prejudice and bigotry rely on dehumanization.
The first installment, MARGINSX focuses on Transex and Transgender individuals. Future installments will focus on the Homeless, People of Color, Women, and the Indigent.
I see injustice and unfairness every day. I can no longer sit by silently while others suffer needlessly.
I will write more about MARGINS in the coming weeks; I will unveil the plans for the projects, share some images from the project here on the blog and let you know how you can support the project as I move forward.
